Becoming a high-performing Scrum Development Team on the .NET platform
October 13-15, 2010

As an approved Registered Education Provider we offer this three-day course which aims to guide software development professionals to build and work in high-performing Scrum teams. Attendees will exercise agile engineering practices in sprints delivering working software. Exercises will be based on Visual Studio 2010 with TFS, SpecFlow and other tools on the .NET platform.

Course objectives:

Learning and practicing the role of a developer in a Scrum team
Getting introduced to agile engineering practices
Using tools on the .NET / Visual Studio (2010) platform effectively in agile projects

Certification:
After the course there is an assessment about the core Agile Development Practices Learning Objectives. The successful completion of the course can be applied towards the newly introduced Certified Scrum Developer credential.

Who should attend:
Developers and testers who want to become part of a Scrum team.

Required knowledge and equipment:

Scrum values, principles, rituals and artifacts
Development on the .NET platform
ASP.NET MVC2 framework basics
Own notebook for completing the exercises

Agenda:
Day1: Introduction and project startup

Agile analysis and product planning
Building self-organizing teams
Acceptance Test-Driven-Development and Behavior Driven Development

Day2: Sprint 1: Delivering a user story outside-in using agile engineering practices

TDD (test first, refactoring, mocking)
Pair programming
Evolving design and architecture
Continuous integration and build automation

Day3: Sprint 2: Delivering a user story outside-in using Acceptance-Test-Driven development

Behaviour Driven Development
Test Automation
Defect and change Management

This course starts at 9:00 am - 18:00 pm at Microsoft Innovation Center, Am Europlatz 2, Building G, 1120 Wien and will be taught in English.

The price of this class is € 1.699,-
